Picked up a 00 standard cab short bed 4.7L 2wd Dakota today. It has some issues, but being a tech and working at a shop I don't have any issues with it. Main things for it to be safe are the power steering (front seal is gone, drains all fluid instantly) and the freeze plugs in the rear. But for 600 bucks with 112k on the clock, I feel like it's a pretty good deal. I have been looking through the forums here before I had purchased this truck and read quite a few different things. It seems like this is a great community and has a bunch of friendly and helpful people. I look forward to becoming part of this and helping with what I can and seeing what everyone else has going.
