I have a 2000 Dodge Dakota, actually I have 2, both of them same engine and trans. I'm curious about cam swapping my spare engine, I found a set of 218/224 cams for a great price, but they are listed foor a 3rd gen, will it work or did they change some huge fundamental thing in the cylinder heads or where the main caps go?

 

It would help if you would state what engines....just sayin....

 

I totally forgot, I typed this at 2am. The engines I have are the 4.7l v8's.
