What to with rusted out bump stop brackets?
Hello,
I have a 2002 Dodge Dakota, 4wd, automatic with the 3.9L engine. I was changing tires yesterday and noticed that the metal brackets that hold the bump stops on both sides of the front suspension are fairly well rusted out. I was wondering if anyone knows the proper way to replace these? There is a licensed frame repair shop that I'm sure would weld and plate the brackets, but I was wondering if there is some sort of aftermarket brackets that could be welded on? I've searched the internet and seem to be coming up with nothing. Is there some sort of special name for the brackets?
Thank you for any replies.
Regards,
Tim
