New o2 sensor!
Installed a new nkg o2 sensor, truck was running very sloppy here and there, replaced, took it for a little test run and did it ever go. It ran like a new vehicle and with the little v6 i have it was the best iv ever seen it run! It went from 0-100km from the time normal for 0-60 because of the bad one. But it seems to be going good now!
ya, when I replaced mine, there was a big difference too. you got the OE one if it just plugged in. the universal ones you have to splice in. for my truck the OE was cheaper. I dont think I woulda got the universal one anyways.
How much was it from Napa? How long did it take to replace it? Did you need a special tool? Thinking about doing mine pretty soon. I was going to do it this week since all the snow had melted, but now we just got 5 inches and its still coming down. We are under a winter storm warning actually! Thanks for the info.
I paid $65 for mine at canadian tire. its a bosch one. it took like 2 minutes to change. I just unhooked the plug and cut the wire off of it. then put the box end of the 22mm wrench and I had to double wrench it to get it off, then I put some anti-sieze on the threads of the new one an threaded it in. then tightend it down and plugged it back in.
thank a lot, can i get a 22mm at an auto store or should i go to the hardware store? sorry so many questions

you can buy the 22mm wrench anywhere. I found it easier to use the box end on it. the open end seemed like there was too much play in it and it was gonna strip the head on it. and mine was the origional O2 sensor and it came out pretty good.
Mine came out easy, I would just take a wrench and tap it with a hammer till it comes lose, but I was suprised, mine is NKG and it was 75 canadian. But it worked very well and I was told it could be the fuel pump but im glad it wasen't. I just need to get my tranny tuned up now, but at 3k or more rpm it rattles alot but i think it is the cat converter. Any ideas?
