Default Ball Joints

Well i took my truck to a shop to see what was making that squeaking...and it was the ball joints.. the guy said one was so bad i shouldnt even have been driving it.....I have no clue how to replace them so i am going to let my local shop do it...but the place i took it to wants to charge me 750.00$...so i called around and found a couple places that would do it for 500.....what do you guys think is a good estimate for parts and labor??

I just did the lowers on mine, about $90 for parts. They were the originals and riveted in. Without a torch to melt out the rivets i wouldnt reccomend doing it. It was about 3 hours each of labor and I needed a lift. If it was for the uppers and lowers parts and labor I would pay $500 seems very reasonable
