Default NGK Spark Plugs

Putting in NGK V-Power Spark Plugs in place of the Bosch and the NGK plugs have longer threads then the Bosch. Any info will help. Any body know the part number. I looked it up and it says FR5-1. Wanted to know if this is the same plugs that anybody else uses and if this is right.

Do remember what part number you had. On the NGK website it says the same part # as on the box I have, but when compared side by side with the Bosch the NGK is longer. I need to know so I don't install then start the motor.

I put plugs in 1 heat range colder but the part number was nothing like that. It should be in the format: BRK6E-11 (that's not the number for the Daks, just an example. iirc that's the part for a subaru 2.5 liter sohc)

but ya, I'm gonna be heading out to the shop tomorrow to do a lil work on the 99, so I'll see what numbers are on my plugs.

I'd say they both are good. its personal preference between the 2. just dont use bosh platnums, or any platnums for that matter[:'(]

I just prefer NGK my self

From what I've seen the platinum plugs have much smaller electrodes and iirc they don't conduct as well - copper will make a bigger spark which makes for better power.
