Default Hmmmmmm....Power Steering Pump?

My power steering pump was leaking, I'm not sure where at. I started to use brake fluid for a while, and the pump does not seem to work at all now. I'm thining the pump is shot. What steps and parts will I need to undertake this?

you put brake fluid in the powersteering system? maybe that has something to do with it. I would atleast use tranny fluid, its better for it.

but it could either be your lines or your pump. how much does it leak?

and the pump is pretty easy to replace

brake fluid will have killed the pump completely.

you'll need a new pump, but you'll have to find out which pipes were leaking and swap them out too.

good luck.

yeah, deffinatly dont use brake fluid in power steering pump. If nothing else, and still dont understand reasoning behind it, use trans. fluid.
