if you decide to replace the motor, i dont know if its possible, but if you back out on going desiel, get a 5.9L in it, more power is better right???

also someone on another forum said it could be the EVAP RELAY they said it will make a ticking/knocking sound that sounds like a bottom end noise when they go out.

so this weekend I'm gonna look at everything closely and see exactly where its comming from.

ok, so I was out at the shop today and I got a stethicope(sp?) and put it on everypart of the engine. and it is cylendar 5 valves. the knocking was not as loud as it used to be. so I drained about 2 litres of oilout of the motor and put some tranny fluid in her. then took it out for a good drive. then came back and changed the oil. it cleaned out all the sludge. and the sound is pretty much gone, now I have just a lil lifter noise that should go away soon. so I'm sooo happy I dont haveto put a motor in it

I drove about 20kms and then changed the oil right away, the oil was hot as hell and I burnt my hand a bit on the oil, but it was worth it. I wanna get a magnetic oil plug and see how much shavings I can get outta there. I put a highpowered magnet on my oil filter and then I cut it open to see how much it caught. and there was quit abit of shavings for that.

and I also bought a roll pan for my truck and a hidden hitch for my truck today. I just have to paint it then I can install it. so hopefully some time this month or next month.
