Hey all, I finally got the dak 90 % there, it all started a while ago when the truck went from this;



to this;




I'm still pretty pissed about it, I never found out who did it either so I had to pay out of my own pocket. I put a new panel on it, and managed to bash out most of the ding (I'm not a panel beater) but I think it looks pretty good. So while I was at it, I don't just replace....I upgrade.

So after about a week of painting, sanding, compounding, more compounding and even more compounding then a wax and a thorough wash and another wax (yeah I know, long winded) It's ended up looking like this....



I still need to replace the bumpers and finish the pinstriping and it'll be mint

just thought I'd share I'm soo happy my dak looks sweet again, I've got that glow again when I'm driving it.

 

looks pretty good brotha! Why did you take off the nerf bars, though?? They looked pretty sweet.

kinda reminds me of a paint job i saw...wanna say it was a tahoe foose did. looks good

 

chris, I put them back on and it didn't suit the two tone paint job I thought....still got them I might experiment at some point.

I don't think my paint job is quite up to the standard of foose's

 

lol im just sayin, it reminded me, but ya looks good, sorry about your truck, but thats always an excuse to upgrade

yea agreed it looks awesome now, but i kind of liked it bfore the accident, so idk personal preference i guess

 

Looks nice man but I like the Paint job you had before the new one but hey Two Tone paint jobs add to the value of the truck so, Good job man
