well its not going to stay good if you dont keep it up, how many miles do you have on the truck? When was the last time you did a full tune up? Have you replaced the O2 Sensors? Do you have a lead foot? V6 or V8?
gonna need some more info. make and model, all mods, recent repairs, how many miles, engine size, drive train(4x4 or 2wd), etc... I have a 99 v6 with 120,000 on it. its a 5sp and the best i have ever gotten was just under 18mpg. now i average about 15.5 on the highway. I have a 3 suspension lift with 31X10.5 tires. the torsion bars are cranked so its about 5 inches up(effects aerodynamics, as does my huge grille guard) no cover on the back. I am gonna try a new 02 sensor or two when i get that chance in a couple weeks. that might add another mile or two. lots of things can effect mileage.
oh and its a 4x4

i avg about 13-14mpg. Stock i thnik it gets about 16city 20 highway.
but my highway is about 14.. good enough for me, when i hit the single digit mpg, lower 10mpg, then ill be scared.

my '00 QC 4.7 4x4 averages 15.5 mix... this past weekend I changed the oil (mobil 1 full syn. 10w-30) and also ran a can of seafoam through the tank.. went for a 420mile round trip and averaged 20.3mpg @ 80mph highway.. normal highway driving before this was around 18.
