Default About to Buy Dakota Quad Cab: 2000 or 2001?

[align=left]I'm in the market for a used Dodge Dakota Quad Cab with a V8. I'm looking at either a 2000 Dodge Dakota Quad Cab Sport with an automatic V8, or a 2001 Dodge Dakota Quad Cab SLT or Sport with an automatic V8.

I was wondering if there were any known issues in these 2 years that I should be aware of, or if I should go with one year or another. Drove the trucks already, and other than some comestic differences and the transfer case controls, I didn't see any difference.

Thank you all in advance!

I have a 2000 QC Sport 4x4 with the 5.9. Have owned 6 months now bought with 48000 miles. The truck is sweet no problems what so ever.
I like it.
I am sure what ever decision you make you will enjoy the truck.

I have an '01 QC SLT 4x4. I bought with around 96k and now have around 106k. We bought this when my wife totalled her Expedition. We were buying a house at the time and basically did not want to spend any more money than the insurance settlement. I found it on a dealer lot and picked it up, just expecting to keep it for a year or two. But plans have changed - we really like this vehicle. It's the right size for us, v8 is very nice. No problems other than maintenance stuff.
