Ball Joint recall?
Was under the truck today, changing oil and such. Noticed that upper ball joints are original (rivited in). Knowing that these animals had a bad slug of ball joints when new, how can I tell if mine was a recall and not done? I've got a98 Dakota Sport 4x4.5.2 auto.
Thanks

wow origional BJ's on a 98? your lucky. but not lucky enough... the recall is for 2000+ daks/durangos.
but if you find that your BJ's are shot, go with the moog greasable BJ's.

ha the ones on my truck are still rivited in, and ive got 195000 on them how are all of you having so much trouble w/ them . . . j/k i know they are problems, just havnt had the time to do them myself, or any problems w/ them until recenlty i noticed the rubber seal is starting to tear off of one of them, or the money to have someone else do it
only the 4x4's are hard on BJ's I've never really heard 2wd's being hard on them

When I bought my 2000 it had 159000 and they are original, but due for replacement. Lower driverside is shot, I bought all four, and need to do the cv's too When I got my Dac the cv's were removed, weird!
