P0168 Decreased Engine Performance Due To High Injection Pump Fuel Temp Fuel temperature is above the engine protection limit. Engine power will be derated.


what in the world, isnt the pump in the tank, i have a full tank of gas..thinkin i turned it off and on to fast i stoped, turned it off then turned it back on th acc, i was cleaning the windows etc. after washing it

 

ne one....??? ideas

make sure you keep a decent amount of gas in the truck, cause fuel is not only a combustable fluid, it also acts as a coolant... and yea the pump isnt going to run as normal, so it will pump less fuel - less work - less chance of overheating... but as i think about it.. gasoline engine dont have injection pumps unless its ment for the injectors cause diesel engines have fuel injection pumps.. * HEUI and Common Rail ( i beleive) dont have injection pumps* dont quote me on it.... im used to working on older stuff

 

disconnect your battery for awhile to reset it then run it and see if it comes back. thats weird as hell could just be one of thoes freak things
