Default 5 spd trans questions
I have a 2000 V-6 4X2 5 sp. It doesn't like to go into gear at a stop. I have to pump the clutch a couple of times to get it to go. Otherwise, it shifts fine and the clutch feels strong. Any ideas?

sounds like it could be the syncro mesh in the tranny. my ranger used to do that before I got rid of it.

how many miles do you have on it?

234k on the truck. Not sure how many on the trans. I just bought it used a couple of days ago. The dealership used it as a parts delivery truck.

wholy crap! thats alot of miles ya I would say you'll need a rebuild. how does it shift when your moving? and have you tried starting off in 2nd gear to see if it will do it.
