i dont see why not, but most likely the horsepower and the torque from the 360 or 5.9 may kill it

itshould handlethe powerdodge manual tranny's are tough as hell its the automatics that have problems. but your gonna have a hell of a project on your hands if you swap from automatic to manual. My dad did it onhis 1960 Bonneville ragtop and droped a 389 in it. and he said it was a job and a half. But if you look under your carpet there should be a square that can be knocked or cut out for the shifter to come up through. but then you still got to deal with changing pedals, and rigging your clutch

if you can find a 318 5spd (99 or earlier) it'll be almost as fast as an RT, especially if its a regular cab.

There isnt a ton of difference in HP and torque between the 318 and 360. And yes the trans just swaps in, it's a big swap, but not as bad as it seems. I've seen a few people do it. Basically if you have a donor truck for the trans, you already have everything you need to do the swap.

Hell, they even make an adapter to swap a Viper 6spd in our trucks lol

Ya, ive been looking into that, its a bit expensive but if you got money.. then do it, a 6speed would be soutragous in these trucks.. good luck driving in the rain lol.
