oh and btw make sure you have something to clean the residue off. I had medium strength laquer thinner that I had to use with my bed liner. It won't ruin your paint. Either that or rubbing alcohol. If the metal is really hot, it may dry really fast and leave streaks. Just make sure it's wiped wen cool and you have a clean cloth.

i deffinatly wouldn't usepowerful chemicals like laquor thinner, or mineral spirits. If it doensn't hurt the paint, it might take the clear coat right off. And deffinatly the wax! I would wait till it gets warm, and use a little squirt of WD40 and a soft edge (like a credit card). WD 40 mostly made up of natural oils, so it wont harm the paint. And it will also disolve the adhesive. And actually, the oils in it will shine the clear coat, so you wont have to wax afterwards!! (This is how i did it when i removed mine)

If you can see a difference in the color right after you remove them, im willing to bet that in a month or two, the sun will fade the darker areas and you wont even notice.

yea paint thinner wont do anything to the clear coat, just take the wax off, but anything stronger will attack your finish, i would still only use it as a last resort, just my .02
