did i do something wrong? probably...
so i went to change my spark plugs last night...all was welll in the world the right side went fine no problems, the left hand side however...ha..the first two plugs came out easy the last two were really tightened in there...the second last one was in there so tight that while trying to remove it the ceramic around the plug shatter from the torque i had to use to get it out...anyways i cleaned that out and then the last plug the actual wire broke off while trying to pull it out.. so after cursing and kicking the side of the truck for a couple mins i have a chev s10 with a I4 in it and i had recently took it off the road and had new wires in it so i took one from there and put it in the broken wires place
now whenever i have the throttle wide open it doesnt seem to pull like it use to, the plugs i put in are NGK V-Power and i made sure to take the time to space them according to under the hood...the ones that were in there before were bosch platinums and they looked burnt on the end ( not sure if they were spaced or what couldve happened there) but besides that one plug breaking im not sure what would cause this? would it be the choice of plugs i put in? or would it be that one spark plug wire that i swapped out? the wire that i put in its place is a ac delco 7mm
*edit* when i first started the truck up it started fine and there are no knocks or pings of any sort while running

anti sieze on the plugs helps prevent this, whenever doin spark plug work, have a can of compressed air or anything equivelent just to blow away any rust when breaking the plugs free, pb blaster is also your friend ( wd-40 works too)...
ah yea didnt even think of that, well i think i almost suffered third degree burns tryin to get any of the ceramic stuff outa the plug hole...haha guess a 15mins isnt enough to cool the engine down.. but as far as loss of pull would it just be because of that one wire i swapped out or is it my choice of plugs?
could be the wire, i run the same plugs and i dont have one problem at all, did u do your cap and rotor? unless its a 4.7, id do the cap and rotor to be safe
nah that was gonna be the next thing i got r/t 5.9, i was gonna do msd cap and rotor and there 8.5 super conductive wires if that could be whats affecting it so hopefully that'll clear things up and improve performance a lil bit
yea id say unless the wires are the exact same ones all around that that could cause your problem right there, i would replace the cap, rotor, and put on brand new wires,
that wire you pulled off the chevy might be smaller, that might cause it to run rough. you might want to make sure you didnt cross thread any of the plugs. NGK's are good plugs, i wouldnt blame them just yet.

so i put an msd cap and rotor and there superconductive 8.5mm wires and it works just fine now if anything i see a lil bit of increase in pull, probably because the other guy torqued the other spark plugs to tight and they were burnt on the end oh well all fixed now! thanks guys!
