Default Voltage Leak?

I have created a 3 X 3 LED array with resistors for my dome light. After the fade feature is complete (light is supposed to be off) the LEDs are still slightly illumated. I took readings from the +/- plug for the incandesent bulb.Voltage readings are approx 12.5v onand approx 7.25v when off. Then I took readings from the 3 wires on the back and I getone constant Negitive, one constant 12v and one the flucutuates between approx -.22vto 4.25v (-.22 when the light is supposed to on and 4.25 when it is supposed to be off). Anyone know if this is normal or is it a symptom of voltage leak?

I have an 01 Dakota standard cab. Normal bulb is a 509/508.

How is it wired in? You said you created it correct?

It connects directly to the bulb contacts as if it were a light bulb replacement.

something with such minimal voltage shouldn't have hardly any, if any, voltage leak.

I was thinking it was/is an upstream problem, perhaps a control unit or inline capacitor... something to that effect. I wascurious to seeif maybe some else may have taken these readings before and might know. I've heard several times from others that they have/had the same issue with LEDs in the dome light and it was attributed to the dimming feature. Those with out dimming feature do not seem to have this issue. At this point I can only assume that the wire (yellow with purple)delivering -.22 through 4.25v is connected to the negitive side to dim by lowering the voltage. Kind like having several batteries in series and reversing one. When the yellow/purple delivers the -.22v the lights show brightly, then when it fades the wire tranistions to 4.25v and I get a faint glow.
