I wouldnt mix them, if your not gonna do a complete flush then just put regular tranny fluid in it. save some money, cause just a couple of litres of synthetic wont make a big difference.

ive been told not to switch the fluids it can burn a transmission rite up, if your worried about heat get a bigger transmission cooler...
Allright, So here is the real deal.. I wanted to just change my filter and put fluid it. So while i was takign the pan off, one of the bolts didnt come out it was stripped. So I got it all back together, and put in the fluid and realized it was full synthetic... But from what you guys are saying maybe i should take it and get it flushed, and just have all one thing in there....
Or do you think it wont be that bad if i keep it in... for like another 30 thousand miles?

anybody have the steps on how todo a full flush yourself? im gonna be doing a fluid and filter change and would like to do a full flush. Do you guys reccomend doing a band adjustment if i already have the pan down? thnaks

band adjustments are nothing to be intimidated by. if you have an inch/lb torque wrench your in business. the specs are in any haynes or chiltons. for my old ram is was 72in/lbs and then back off a 1/4 turn. The rear band is a little harder to get at, but its for reverse so its not as nessessary if you cant reach it.
