Default Yet another towing Question!

I've read all the good advice regarding towing big loads with the 4.7 but I was wondering if it was necessary to turn off the O/D when I'm towing my caravan. It weighs around 1800-2200 pounds, depending on if going on a long trip or not!

Thanks,

Paul

I believe anytime you tow it is better to have the O/D off no matter what your driving.

definetly turn it off because if you dont your truck still may have the power to pull it its just that your truck will down shift into drive on every single hill and its just unnessary wear and tear on your transmission

If your tranny isn't hunting for gears, you can get away with OD. Once you get a downshift-upshift-downshift then kill OD.
