i can say my 05 4.7 rips. i put hurtings on hemis that are fixed up. i have a simple cam kit and flash. as for the 360. there are endless combination out there. my mistake was passing up on an 03 r/t. had i bought that the power would have beenendless the only way to get power is to go internal. or go with a stage 2 or 3 motor if you have the funds. everyone makes parts for these motors. and the correct tuning is were its at. you can build power but what good is it if you cant time it. upgrading is a big deal i owned a 1987 buick grnd national with the stage 2 motor t 12 turbo and intercooler.expensive. but if you want to leave it stock then put a novi 1000 supercharger on it. for 3500.00 it will be just as good as going internal and you will only be down a weekend for the install. not 6 weeks having the motor built
You have a custom flash or a programmer? Wich one?

Hey thanks for the info and hey cris you should see the truck now. That was what the dealer sent me and i said "why yes i'll drive 2 hrs to pick it up" it had 32,000 and it is in pristene shape. It came with all the bells and whistles.

But back to the power, I do want to hook it up and it will take time. But is there a web site that is a killer place to purchase parts?

Ebay has some headers for cheap.

If you are serious about wanting power, I'd skip on the CAI, skip on the Superchips/Hypertech, and skip on most of the simple bolt ons. You can spend an easy $1500+ bucks on cai + chip + cam + intake manifold that will net you ~50hp, or you can put that money towards something that'll really make power - namely forced induction. With 9.1:1 compression (or whatever it is) the motor lives for boost. If you chuck a supercharger on it and get a custom flash you'll be a lot happier than if you were to spend all kinds of money on bolt ons. Trust me on this. My 5.9 got headers, hypertech, K&N fipk, and it helped a minimal amount. Yeah, it did help, but not nearly as much as they advertise. Thankfully, I got most of the stuff on eBay used. You can do bolt-ons that are blower friendly, and you can do stuff that won't be compatible with the forced induction and waste money. I recommend planning where you really want to go.

Personally, depending on budget, I'd go one of two ways - low compression 408 stroker with a blower, or high compression NA 408 with a lumpier cam. Either way, a custom flash is required to get the most out of it.
