Default Shaker Hood

Hey Everyone Been a while since I have been on here. I was just curious to see if anyone out there has a shaker hoot installed on their Dak. I have some questions about them so any input would be great. Thanks!

Thanks Jonny! You know just general questions like is water getting into the intake a problem? Is it worth it or is it just for looks?....not that it matters because I would probably get it anyway because of how it looks. Any known problems with shakers? etc...

I would imagine that water could be an issue the way the intake sits hell User has a ram air hood and that thing has sponges to help keep water out, the intake runs into the stock box (which is lower than the intake manifold) and he has problems with it stalling when he goes WOT. I would imagine the shaker sitting right on top of your intake manifold would just let water pour in. I'm sure it is the best for NA power though since the path is so short and about as straight as you'll ever get.

Wife has the Shaker on her 99 R/T, water has not been a problem, the holes in the base plate drain off the water. But one hole is just above the ac compressor and it get the belt wet making it squeel., i installed a tube to divert this problem, works great., Looks awsome.
