A good observation, Enzo Ferrari said it was simple math-the drum braks have a grater swept area- and rested using them for many years. But more so there is a reason Vipers, Vets, eaven all aircraft, and other such come with disk they do work btter, especialy when wet!

i dunno if you get decent pads and slotted or drilled rotors i imagine they should work great...its just these drums i dunno..suck on my r/t i replaced the shoes in them all have good pad left its just they keep goin baby *** smooth on in the drums and i loose my stopping powerit seems...not like the pedal goes to the floor or anythin it just u can almost feel the smoothness of them just gliding against the drum cover...i dunno these are the second pair of pads for the drums and they both go hard and baby smooth and build of a lot of dust and has an annoying *** squeel whenever i brake at slow speeds...it just seems like disc would be better

yea but i would think drums heat up alot more since there enclosed by the drum cover? with mine i dont know what it is but they squeek reallll bad at low speeds even though the shoes and everything are fine...theres a lot of brake dust build up though and i have to clean them every other week to keep them from squeeking real bad...drums would give you technically more surface area but disc brakes are more responsive and have a firmer feel to them i believe

yea i put brand new ones on it didnt do it for a week but went back to doing the samething as soon as brake dust built up in there..i dunno maybe its just me but ive never had drums squeek all the time like that...i think i am just gonna get disc brakes put on soon my dads gmc serria has rear discs and his braking is great in all conditions,
