Default Oil filter question

So i switched over to synthetic and used seafoam before i did it and the annoying ticking noise i have is still there. Im still not sure what it is but i wanna try some lucas oil stabilizer to see if that does anything. My question is can i take off the oil filter drain it then fill it up with lucas and put it back on or will all the oil drain out when i take it off. Im thinking this will be the only way i can drain some oil without changing it all since i just did it the other week. Thanks for any help or suggestions.

What octane are you running??? My D sounded like it was valve chatter but after switch to 89 octane it is gone so it was actually pinging.

if you fill up the filter with lucas, then you will get a "dry start" it will take a lil bit for it to pump pure lucas through your engine.

I would loosen the drain plug abit and let it drip for a while till you get enough out. and if you have a lifter noise, try puttin tranny fluid in it.

but I would try some premium gas in it first.

alright thanks for the advice jonny ill try the dripping method

edit: im thinking instead of having to try and drip out the right amount i might just run it for another week then change out the oil and add a quart of lucas and 5 quarts mobil one synthetic like i just put it and reuse the filter it is only gonna have about 6-800 miles on it but id rather do that then try and drip out the right amount then try and figure out how much to put back in because i dont have any level surfaces around my house. i guess i should also try the premium gas too first before anything haha guess its gonna be an interesting next two weeks
