How can you tell if your dakota has a 5.9 or not??
When I bought my dakota, the guy I bought it from said it was an R/T, however it had been painted black, from the red that it once was and had no stickers indicating that it was an R/T. I was curious if there was a certain way you could tell if the engine was a 5.2 or a 5.9? thanks guys

You can also look at the side of the block. Driver's side, under the head. There should be a casting number telling you what engine it is.
