Default Evap Control Valve ticking?

So i just got my rear shocks changed out since they were ranchos and the fronts were stock...by the way anyone wanna buy two used rancho shocks probably only have about 5-8k on them...anyways i also had my mechanic check out the ticking noise im hearing and he said he doesnt think its a valve or lifter or anything but the Evap Control valve on the firewall that is makeing the noise. he said its probably a selonoid(spl?)or something in it that just keeps ticking. My question is is there anyway i can quiet it down or do i have to get it replaced.

you'll have to replace it. or just live with it.

but take a stethiscope and put it on that relay. and you can tell if thats whats causing it.
