I don't know about where Frenchy is but in ME inspection law requires "a baffled muffler", a lot of people scrape by with glasspacks but you'll never get a sticker with straight pipes.

So. 50 bucks per two years... friends can weld.. not bad investment, I'd say...

How you think it's gonna sound, running duals?

Maybe I should just, gut my cats, and run an x-pipe...

yea i had a single cherry bomb glasspackon my 5.9 and there wasnt much difference between straight pipes or using the cherry bomb...the only difference was is that it popped more when slowing down im not sure if theres much more air flow difference in the 5.9 then the 4.7 but that was almost to loud for me...thats just me though i had to raise my voice real loud inside the cab at highway speeds to talk

just get an electric cut out on your exhaust so then she can be loud as hell and then quiet for when want it to be.
How do you like that, im about to redo my exhuast system with 3" Header back with a Flow 40 no cats and an electric dump before the muffler.

Got a link to where you orderd yours from? I know jegs has them.. just wondering though.

My truck is currently running dual Flow 50s.. and it's nice....

But the more I hear my dad's truck, the more I wanna be louder than his Hemi, with his JBA exhaust on it..

Run duel 2.5" with Flo 40s and have a couple of dumps before them.. at low idle it will sound mellow, and as soon as you touch the thorttle it will blow your dads JBA away..

right now i have 2.5" with stock Ypipe going to a Flo Pro with a dump and its pretty loud when i step on it.. but i want it louder. so im going to upgrade all the pipes to 3" and have everything deleted with a single flow 40 side exit exhuast with a big *** dump for all those POS mustangs that run straight pipe and think they are badass...

How hard is it to gut the cats?

Maybe, I'll just do that first, and see if I still like the sound on my 50s.

Its not hard you can either gut them or just delete them, i plan on deleting mine all together.. less restrictions, but for you, i thinky uo have 3 cats total.. if you delete the 2 by the o2 sensors you will need a couple of simms. I dont know if they make them for the genIII but im guessing they do.. i know fastman sells them for about 75$ a pop, so does KRC and Jegs... range from 50-70 i think, those will tell the pcm you still have a cat so you can still pass the emissions and not get a C/E light all the time, just keep the 1/1 sensors in the pipe they read air/fuel mixture they dont need to be changed the ones after the Cat are the ones tha through the codes (most of the time) and this is where you will install the simm.. you will need 2 simms, one for each side if you do cut them..

you will be amazed on how much better it sounds without a cat..
