Questions as usual
Hey guys, I got a couple things I'm looking into and a few questons to go along with em. I want to raise the front with my tortion bars, can I get a few tips? I looked in the archive but there wasnt anything. Also, how do torsion keys work and are they worth it? And finally just curious about ignition kits and what they do for the dakotas. Thanks in advance
you dont have a lift with your 32's? hmmm
but ya I would do a 2" torsion/shackle lift. just crank the T bars 8 turns to get 2" outta them. and get new shackles for the back. I think they are ment to lower a chevy 2 and raise a dodge 2.
as for crankin the T bars. just measure the front end first then jack up the front of the truck so th wheels are off the ground and then start cranking. then when your done put it back down to the ground and measure again to make sure both sides are level.

Yeah the 32s fit perfectly. The ONLY thing that rubs the the front driver side wheel well bezel when I hit a bump while I am turning with the wind blwing on the lol. That is only because some of the fastiners are gone and it is loose an the wind will push it toward the tire. The making are so small that I dont even worry about it.
Thanks for the info on the torsion bars. The torsion keys make it to where I can lift it like 2 or 3 inches without making the ride a lot rougher right?

torsion keys are a waste of money. they will still make your ride rough. basically its the same as cranking them. I bought a pair last year and read the instructions and then found out its the same as cranking them, so I sold them. all it really does is make sure you get 2" outta them since their already measured.
Hey Guys,
I have a 2WD Ext Cab.. The truck looks nice and high in the back but in the front looks really low. I don't want a huge lift, just the "4WD look" (as high in the front as in the back). Can i do this with the T bars? or maybe i don't have these?
Thanks

How high is the back lifted? If it's only two inches or less you can do it. From everything thing I have heard and researched, you should go no more than two inches with the T bars.

It's not much higher than the front.. it looks like the truck is almost sagging in the front, which doesn't look nice. I would say 2" in the front would do it or at least look better.
Is there another name on the T bar? I've looked through the service manual and can't seem to find it.

Ok so I am looking all over for 2" or 3" lift blocks for taking the rear up. I cant find anything for '00 Daks. Is there something I dont know like Daks cant use lift blocks or do manufacturers just hate Dakotas?

2" lift shackles.
