Default Flowmaster 40 - Best Place?

I want to swap out my stock muffler (it's only taken 6 years [8D]). I've read some posts that most here like the Flowmaster 40.Where's the best place to buy online?

I actually got the full cat-back off of ebay a year ago for 250 bucks and I installed it myself.

Are those bolt on kits any good? Without a weld around the pipe, will it leak?

not sure what muffler comes with it may want to call and ask if they can exchange it for a 40 series

Ebay has the mufflers for like sixty or so . But in jegs they are not that much more expensive

you should go with a hooker aerochamber i just got mine on and i love it more and more everyday nothing but rumble and no annoying crackle like flows it has some crackle but it sounds so much better no popping like flowmasters...its a tad bit quieter once its warm but sounds so much better imho plus their only 60 bucks threw summit or jegs just throwin it out there

I've had a 40 on for about 6 years and it sounds great up until yesterday when the extension pipe cracked. That's the drawback when going to a Flowmaster there has to be an extension to make up for the length difference. This morning I ordered a Magnaflow #14586 that should be a direct replacement to the stock muffler. 2 1/2 inlet and outlet and 28" overall length with the correct offsets. A little pricey at $108(Summit) but it's polished stainless so it should last forever.Only thing is, they're backordered so the earliest ship date is 07/08. Hope my patch holds that long!
