Default slight problem...

so i have a 5.9 r/t and i want to put shortie headers on it... but you know..everything cant go as smooth as you would like...so im checking out the stock headers and looking at clearance and everything when i notice the heatshield on the one side is kind of loose...so after taking a closer look i see that the bolt that goes through the header and into the block has now snapped off and is stuck inside of the block...so after cursing a bit i have no clue on how i would get that out? if its even possible without damaging the block any ideas? thanks

my suggestion is, as long as it's sticking out to where you can spray some pb blaster on the bolt and where it meets the block, take a pair of vise grips and clamp them onto the bolt as tight as possible, turn the bolt slowly loosen 1/2 turn then go back a 1/4 turn, go 1/2 turn then back a 1/4 until shes free

yea so i took the header off today and theres nothing sticking out at all, its nicely clean snapped right off in the block...sooooo would it be safe to leave that one bolt out when putting new headers on or am i most likely gonna get leaks from there thanks

sounds like a good idea... they have tools for everything, pretty sure there is one to do that.. kinda like the one that removes bearings from the axle. It goes in the middle and then spikes stick behind it and then you slam a peice of it back and forth on a long rod till it pops out. lol

there is such a tool, we have one and it works exactly like that, drill a hole, thread this into it, its got left handed threads on it and when it gets tight it turns the bolt and takes it out, but idk how much force u can really put onto it
