Default Subwoofer Box under Ext Cab back seats.

Hey Guys,

I did a little subwoofer installation over the past couple days. Just wanted a little thump in the truck and after some careful measuring, I got it figured out.

The box doesn't have a huge amount of air space.. Kinda scared me in the beginning but I got a couple low powered subs and it worked out nicely.

Not sure if anybody has any better idea's.. if so post. The box that Imade may have put me out $50.

looks good. I've been looking into buiding a custom box for mine to fit two 12's right now they are just sitting on the back seat. and Mtx ones are too expensive and you can only fit 10's in them anyways.

so did you cut out the space out of the tool tray and build an enclosure into this? or did you cut out and build a fiberglass frame? I'm working on building a box, but since its smaller than the tool tray you can see the sides( I don't like the gaps) so i'm cutting off the cup holders from the tray and attaching them to my MDF/fiberglass box.we'll see how it works

Very clean looking install. I have 2 15's in a 7cu/ft box. I had to take out the seats and the box sits on top of the tool tray and its anchored to the floor.

I cut out the tool tray..I didn't want to in the beginning but I had to. There's very little space to work with back there.. My main concern when I started was to make it look like there was nothing in the truck... It worked out pretty good..

ZiggyNeon, uhm... get a sheet of MDF and start cutting I took the whole plastic tray under the seats out and cut out the tool tray part and then used that more or less to go by in making the shape for the box.
