Default AC Drain Plugged

I have a 02 Dakota and i'm pretty sure the ac drain line is plugged, because the passenger floor keeps becoming a pond when the ac is ran. I'm pretty sure that the tube goes through the firewall at some point, but for the life of me I cannot find its location. If anyone has better info as to its exact location, other than through the firewall, I would extremely appreciate it. Thanks a ton!!!!

I doubt it is plugged, it has just probably been routed wrong, or moved at some point. Pull up the carpet on the passenger's side and look close to the firewall. A flashlight is going to be helpful!

Ok, I removed the carpet and trim to look at it and found a whole lot more water. Not seeing any type of hose or anything penetrating the firewall. Anyone know a more precise location that this should be? Thanks

Look under the dash at the HVAC box. where the evap. is located the bottom of the box will com to a V shape. Locate that spot on the other side in the engine compartment and look (or feel) for a small tube end protruding from the firewall. Its only about 1/2" dia. and only sticks out about a 1/2" as well. It will be below where the evap. tubes go in and out of the firewall and may be hidden by the accumulator. If you do find it, a pencil will work

not sure about a dak but on a ram its close to the pcm, behind all the a/c stuff and hard to see. like waynec said, its not very big either. i read somewhere that it can seep back into the firewall and can be corrected by attaching a short length of drain hose with a small clamp. this drains it down so it can't seep back in.

the drain is behind the left side exhaust manifold if you are in the front of the truck, get a 90 degree elbow and a piece of hose it will fix Ur problem,
some reason they didn't put a hose down on the 02's so when your driving the water blows onto the heater core housing trickles down back into the truck, engineers at work for ya
