whats the difference between AWD & 4WH
i have a 01 dakoda4x4 quad cab
it is a full time all wheel drive
selector has AWD, 4WH, 4WL
so whats really the difference between AWD and 4WH?
seems to have posi in the rear, do they all?

The difference is that 4wH locks the center differential. AWD unlocks the center differential and allows for a difference in output speeds of the front and rear driveshafts, allowing for turning on high traction surfaces without hopping, binding, or spinning a tire like you would in 4-high.
