Default Air Conditioning

2000 Sport 4x4 3.9 5 speed 109,000 mi.

When the outdoor temperature is 85 deg. or more the A/C will only work intermittently. More off then on. The A/C works perfectly at around 85 deg. or cooler. The refrigerant charge is good. The high side and low side pressure is normal. I replaced the low side cycling switch and there was no change. I jumpered the high pressure switch, no change. If I turn the A/C off for a few seconds and back onit will start cooling, (sometimes). There are no trouble codes set. Any ideas ? or experienced this problem ?.
