According to the dealership i need a new tailshaft bushing, but they must replace the entire housing. I think i saw that the housing is aluminum, could a slipped bushing have stripped out or cracked the housing? As anyone heard of this happening on an R/T with only 52k on the ticker? I just purchased the truck so the repair is on warranty, but i dont know if the previous driver thought he was driving a dragster. There is no tow hitch so it might not be towing damage, but the last guy might have removed it. Also, the truck was rear ended at some point so that might have led to a cracked housing. Any help would be greatly appreaciated.
