Adjustable air shocks?
Has anybody ever used adjustable air shock to change the stance of there dak? You know the ones where u plumb it up so u have a regular tire valve coming out somewhere u can either add pressure to lift or lower pressure to drop? I was Thinking maybe removing a leaf or 2 and throwing some air shocks in the rear... Does anybody know where/what brands offer a universal air shock? Toxic used to be advertised in minitruckin a few years back but i dont see to much of there stuff anymore... I dont want an extreme slam just maybe 2-3 inches of adjustment without going to a full airbag setup...
BTW would going with say 3 inch lowering springs in the front and air shocks too would that also have a bit of lift/lower capacity?

If you decide to go with air shocks, it'd be a good idea to beefen up your shock mounts. Since the air shocks would be taking the load off of the leaf springs, the vehicle load wil be sittin on the shock and mount now. It's not a bad idea to get them, but stronger shock mounts are a must in my opinion
I've got an air lift kit on my new Dakota, but one of the bags is blown. I'm getting a replacement in this week, and will replace it as soon as I get it. I'll try and take some pics comparing deflated to inflated. From what I can tell, it should work pretty well. It bolts to the frame, and the bottom of it rests on the top of the leaf springs. I would think that this would be a much better solution that simply using air shocks. You'd still be able to remove some leaf springs, but you'd have to compensate by maintaining a higher pressure in the air shocks.
Just when you thought air shocks disappeared from the 80's they come back like a roach infestation.
I had them ona 73 charger(they were already on the car when I bought it). Put regular shocks on 2 weeks later. They rode like crap.
