Lately I've noticed when I put the tranny from Park to reverse it makes a fast clicking noise. Also it seems I'm loosing oil pressure and the rpm's go below 500 when the truck idles for a lil bit, like at a red light. One time it studdered so bad it felt like the engine was about to stall. I'm hoping it's something as little as a oil pump, but the tranny I have no clue. It's a 2002 Quad Cab with the 4.7L V8, any help is much appreciated.

 

yah mine does a similar thing. not to the extent of almost stalling but yah putts a bit here and there sometimes just after i start it at idle. also my tranny makes a similar sound. like a squeak click kinda thing when put into reverse. i think it only does it if im faceing downhill though. the idle thing ive been told could be a handfull of things. im giving mine a tune up soon so we'll see.
