shocks baby!
I'm here to bug you guys again with more redundant questions!
Alright well i need to replace my shocks and i was wondering if it would be hard to a do a autozone 24.99$ lift kit while I'm under her.

I was thinking 2" in the front and 1" in the back, I'm trying to go for a more "leveled look". i know most people like the incline to the front, i don't like how low it looks in the front.
also any shocks you guys recommend and, random tips you guys learned from doing your own installations any tips would be greatly appreciated. thanks again and sorry to bug you guys with these newbish questions.

i bought the 2" kit from them
make sure you have access to a lift or 4 jack stands, makes it alot easier
and you will eventually need to get square u botls
i was told that the round ones will flatten out eventually....leaving loose ubolts and 2 " blocks on the leafs while driving....not good

Well thank you ziggy! i was keeping a close eye on your post too, all the info on there was nice and helpful. i'll keep those in mind. anything else anyone would like to say my eyes are open
oy-vay well i replaced the back 2 shocks 40 mins a piece no problem, then i reach the front and brunt of the beast. snapped one of the bottem bolts on it and that was enough for tonight. while i was down there i noticed the upper steering control arm,( not sure if that's the right name) the rubber joint thing is broken and i was wondering if it's a cheap replacment or something more. also any kinda price on those bolts? because they seem very tempting to just break them all and just replace them fresh. i'm going to have pictures up tomorrow of the rubber boot thing. also is there a easy method to taking the front shocks off the front that i'm not aware of? because even if i do just break them all and replace them i'm not going to be able to tighten them down enough. BTW the truck is a 97 2WD 3.9 dakota. PLEASE i need you peoples great wisdom!
I had to replace the rear shocks on my truck recently, as the bushings were completely gone resulting in a horrendous noise when going over bumps. I'm surprised it took you 40 minutes each to swap those out though. Did you do the lift while you were back there as well?
nah no one really chimed in to much about the lifts i was hoping for a tad more info. so i think the lift is on hold till i get some more info on em'. only reason the backs took 40 mins was because first time doing shocks at all let alone on this truck so it was a learning thing
