heat works fine on all settings except....
Hey all, been reading here for awhile and been using the search function lots but have yet to find my particular issues
hope ya'll can help. Just bought a 98 dak with a 5.2, 5spd,regular cab and a short box.
My first issue is with my vent settings within the climate controls. My heat works great, my fan works great and so do my defrost and floor settings but Iam getting nothing through my dash vents. When i put it on dash vents nothing comes out. WhenI put it on floor ventsand dash vents (blend)it blows out the floor vents but nothing through the dash vents. By the way i have no a/c. Any ideas?
My second issue is with the clutch. When I start from a stop in first or second gear i get a shortsqueal noise. It has nothing to do with the clutch being fully pushed in or fully released (ie pilot, release or input bearing) but only occurs during the actualrelease procedure (when i am releasing the clutch and beginning to give it gas so the damn thing will move lol). Maybe i'll answer my own question here but maybe it has to do contaminates on the clutch disk itself?
Anyhow any thoughts or surefire answers appreciated here, great forum and thanks in advance.
