RE: What would happen if....
my friend has it done to his jetta vr6 and that thing roars. I dont think he got pulled over. Plus, when my muffler kept falling of my cat, it was really loud. I had it like that for like a week till I got it fixed. I didnt get pulled over. But, I'm not saying I won't. I think my friend and i are going to figure something out. Im not sure how we're gonna do it.

You'll fast become a favorite neighbour to your neighbours. Loud doesnt NOT equal power. Straight pipes (even with cats) is just plain obnoxious. It also helps give more ammo to groups trying to get aftermarket exhaust systems banned. Even they say theres a big difference in a mellow growl/rumble than freaking straight pipe BRRRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAPPPPPPP at 120db.
BTW its not IF you'll get pulled over, its WHEN.
And to mention, I had to drive a week and a half with a split open muffler WAITING for the replacementmuffler and tailpipe to come in before I could put it on. Sounded like compelte ****. Made the fart cans cars sound nice. Also backfired ALOT due to backpressure absence.

i say put sum pipin between th cat n ur muffler but only a little piece so u could still have it exit out th side..im thinknin bout doin the same cuz its hella cheaper than a new muffler...and th worse thatll happen will only be a fix it ticket, which even tho it is a ticket, its an inexpensive one
