I have a 5.2 5speed dakota and a 5.9 r/t. My r/t will eat the 5.2 alive, and i even put 3.92 gears in the 5.2. Even thought there is about a 15hp difference, the 5.9 has a longer stroke & 45 more ft/lbs of torque, and torque and key factor in any truck performance, look at all these 8000lb diesels that will outrun most small cars. TORQUE is my friend
