New Leaf Springs, is there a difference?
As soon as i can afford it i plan to get new leaf springs for my 2wd 3.9L sport, is there any difference among the leafs of the other 2nd gen dakotas (sport, r/t, 4x4) that may sway my descision versus getting stock replacements? is it even possible to use the leafs from any of the others?
I am not sure what your goals are for the new leaf springs
but you can get slight (but real)
improvements in acceleration, mpg and ride
with the weight reduction of composite leaf springs
over your steel leafs:

If you want better traction during a drag strip launch
composite springs can also be built for that

Im pretty happy with the height, obviously new stock springs will sit higher than my old worn out ones, but currently my truck sits perfectly level from front to back on both sides, but side to side I have a 2 inch difference which is being caused by one leaf sagging more. I believe the "sport" leafs are softer for a better ride? i would rather have a stiffer ride and be able to load more into the bed. So my question esentially is, how do the sport leafs behave in relation to the other stock trucks?
