how would you spend $2500?!?
how's it going everyone? i'm hoping i've found a good forum for getting insiteful information for my dakota.
-if you had a graphite grey stock 2002 dakota, club cab, 4X4, V6 how would you spend 2500 bucks on your new truck?
i'm not a big fan of the under powered V6 but it works for now. i'd like to get more power out of it, but i don't want to sink a whole lot of money into it right now. i'm thinking it would be cheaper to get a V8 out of a wrecked dodge down the road from now. i think i'm going with the Fireston Destination M/T tires in a (285/75-R16). i've read around and they should fit without to much rubbing. the stock tires are wrangler (265/75-R16) which is 1.18" shorter in the overall diameter and .79" narrower in the section width different from the new tires i want. the tires get great reviews and i can have them mounted and out the door for $685! i'd like to do a 3" suspension life. but i'm not about to drop 1400 for one. if i find one cheap on ebay, okay.
how would you guys blow the rest of the 2500 bucks?

i would swap out the gears for a nice set of 4.10. i had the 3.55 and went to the 4.10 great improvement 1600.00 out the door 4 wheel drive. next i would upgrade my throttle body. www.thefastman.com has what you are looking for. these two mods will help with the overall get up and go of the truck.
i would invest in a cheap body/bed lift kit, buy 32 tires that fit my rims, do a 4.10 gear as suggested. look over the suspension and basic maintanence and spend the rest on cheap hookers, rubbers, beer and tattoes. if you are on a budget with whats left, forget the rubbers and tatooes.
i can say those are great tires i had them on my cherokee and never got stuck did some good mudding in them too they have worn really well too still on it after35-40ish thousand miles...kinda noisy but if ur goin with an mt i dont think u really care also they are really loud on pavement if u ever do a burnout
just backing up what u've read that they are a really good all around tire for mud, dry roads, snow and for the most part rain.

Funniest ****, I've read in a LONNNNNG time!!!!!!!
cheap hookers can be fun . . .
i'm not sure what the stock gears are. anyone know? i'd like to maintain the best gas milage possible. i know it's a fine line to try and maintain. maybe some 3.73s. i guess it depends on the stock gear ratio for me to determine there worth.
also, i'm not at all a fan of the gap thats caused by body lifts. i know there cheap to do. i'd do 3inches with new bumpers.
good stuff, keep the ideas comin
thanks

i think a blow up doll would be great, just incase you need to cruise down the diamond lane, you can inflate your date and be legal. also i dont like the wheel gaps between the body lift. unless you install gap guards. i think your stock rear might be 3.92 check in the glove box. there should be a sticker at the back descibing what the truck has in it. if not go to any dodge dealer and give them the vin. # they will be able to tell. or go to www.allpar.com and look it up under there vin decoder
