Default In need of some more pick up and go

So i got some money from a bonus from work and i got some extra cash kicking around. So i think i shall buy some things for her. Anyone got some good ideas for some good power gains? i already got exhaust and a K&N. Was thinking about a throttle body, chipping it, thermosat, putting o2 simulator in for when i put a straight pipe in, headers maybe? Other then that im not too sure. Any ideas would be great!! =)

For a throttle body, there pretty much all the same i guess execpt price

Chip, wat to go with a few out there dont know which one to use any feed back on that would be great

thanks

Dont buy a chip and dont buy a sim..

Chips will be overwritted by the PCM overtime...

Get a Programmer or a NEW Perf. PCM.. B&G, Mopar Perf. w/e. or go Hypertech or Superchip handheld programmers... w/e you want. (Pcms do more then a handheld for about the same price, but harder to find for your truck)

Sims dont help, i installed one on mine after about 200 miles it did mor dmg then help, plug the rear o2 sensor hole with a nut and ziptie the o2 sensor to the frame rail...

All TBS are NOT THE SAME, a f&B 50mm will outflow other 52mm TBs..

fastman is built from stock tbs, others are custom built and look alot better.. I got my TB for less then a fastman TB on ebay for 225$ shipped. Its a 52mm Billet Holley TB useally goes for about 380-400$ an di got it for 225$ look around, if i was you i would go with a F&B, holley, or Hughes TB.. But you also have a 318 5.2.. I wold look for a 50mm TB not a 52+ it will be overkill for you unless your blowing or spraying..

Get a 180 thermo (failsafe), about 5 bucks for everything and easy to install, not a big powr gain but your engine will love you more!

as for headers, shop around alot of brands. Get cemeric coated ones, keeps the heat down, and never use header wrap.

Ya know, with the switch to a 180 degree thermostat I noticed a major decline in the effectiveness of my air conditioning. A friend had advised me about this. My truck definitely is a bit happier however.

mine is a still as cold as a blizzard, **** freezes me out on full blast, maybe you should check your freon level.. you can get a re-fill kit at any local parts store for pretty cheap.

Honestly i have no idea why the thermo would make your ac not as cold... or work worse.

ony thing i can think of is that the waterpump will run a little more.. but i really don't see what effecting the a/c.. alot..?

meh o well. I could be wrong.

Yeah, I'm not quite positive why. I had a friend mention that the engine temperature will influence the AC, and then sure enough, after I changed the thermostat, I ran the AC a few days later and the change was noticably there.

I only run my AC once in a blue moon though. Gas is too expensive

Ya im going to be looking around for headers and all the other things. Im not in any real hurry thou. So ill just check out ebay and see wat i can find. The Programmers are better then the JET performance ones you plug in right? Were you plug it in and leave it. and the programmer have different levels? Im looking at the Superchip on, would like to get the mopar one but it looks hard to find. What about intake like a M-1 or edelbrock. and im guess F&B is a throttle body then right?

Thanks

F&B is a brand, that makes TBs.. pretty much the same people at Holley. But if you go to this link it will solve all your problems.

It lists all the intake manifolds, TBs, headers ect.. options they have links and ect for each..
