Default Low Fuel Indicator And Air Conditioner

Weird question: Does the A/C become inoperable after the low fuel dinger dings, and the indicator light comes on?

There is no connection. I had my low fuel light come on yesterday while my A/C was running.

virused is correct... I've had my fuel light on before as well and my A/C still runs fine.

I wouldnt worry about it, it might go into fuel save mode, where it will shut the air conditioner off to help save fuel.

I just thought it maybe was some kind of fail safe, gas saver thing. The A/C in this truck had always worked fine, each and every time we've had it on. Then, one day we didn't try and run the A/C until a few miles after the low fuel warning, and the thing blew HOT air. The compressor was not kicking in, and I just knew the thing hadgone belly up. That's when I thought about a saver feature. Sure enough, after we filled up and drove a couple miles, the compressor would kick in, and the COLD air was back. It has worked perfectly ever since. Just a fluke maybe.
