Default v10 in a dakota

hi, just wondering if this would be possible... i was thinking of putting a srt10 with automatic trans into my 03 dakota r/t.

i guess i would have to see the size of the v10 and what i would have to do with the ecu.

Good luck. I know Mopar performace sells create engines besides there where are you going to get that engine. That is every little boys dream a srtv10. I would say you can make it. I would belive everything would have to be custum made. But I like your thinking.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

its kinda like jammin a cummins in there, you may have t slam the firewalla back a bit for her to fit, definately electric coolant fans, definate on the transmission and id go with the rear from an srt 10 ram, your going to need the computers, get a custom made driveshaft, and figue a way too hook up your gauages to the engine computer, that would be a pretty sweet ride.. good luck

I think the 6.1 liter would be a better motor to swap in. It would be MUCH cheaper and the labor would be far less intense.

Is this the Idea you're going for?
This setup was done with no body stretching
but i belive the firewall was pushed back, and the entire front frame was heavily modified
and the rear end was reinforced.....
I don't remember all the work involved but it was'nt some backyard build

You can see though that the drivers side of the engine bay remains fairly intact. maintaining the idea that this truck is drivable
