I lived in San Diego for awhile. Most peeps had 2 systems for their vehicles. They kept a stock system for smog in their garage and ran full modded exhaust on the vehicle. If they got pulled or needed inspection they put on the stock one. After said smog, they put the modded one back on.

Last smog I had, the guy turned my car on, shut it off and passed me. Said if the engine light isnt on, I should be good to go. Although I am sure if I would have had some system in there, thats when he would have checked

Well I still want to know can I legally take off the resinator or not?......I know the cat has to say for smog and I have the flowmaster.....tell me why I would want a magnaflow?....I have heard them and they pretty much sound the same just not as clean on the trucks I have heard them on......maybe it was the model they had I dunno....and if I have the resinator removed will it cause issues with the engine computer ?

You will be fine taking the resonator off. All it is there for is to bring down the exhaust noise inside the cab.
