2001 3.9 V6 Dakota Won't start!
My 2001 Dakota with a 3.9 V6 , 5 speed manual transmission won't start. Won't even turn over! I thought it might be the clutch since that was ready to be changed, but after changing it, the truck still won't start.
I have plenty of power, and have had the starter checked out. What else can it be? I only have 82k mi and maintain regularly. I appreciate any advice.

Checked the Battery and that is fine, and I do have the clutch pedal pressed down when I attempt to start. How do I know if the Clutch Safety Switch requires replacement? And, if that is not the problem, what else can I look at?
is the motor cranking? if not, then ignition switch, clutch safety switch are a couple of places to look. if it is then crank sensor, fuel pressure & coil would be your next starting points...
if the clutch switch is bad or even if the solinoid is bad i think you can still jump across the solinoid prongs and the truck should start or at least crank. Correct me if i'm wrong, but i remember doing this to an old ranger that i had when the solinoid went.
Does it turn over when you start it? Or does it ack like it just isn't firing? Mine wouldn't start a few months ago. I took the belt off and started it to make sure it wasn't a pully and sure enough it started. Turns out it was my tention pully. When I grabbed it and tried to turn it it was very hard to turn. You might also want to check you AC compressor pully and make sure it isn't what is causing the problem if you tention pully isnt the problem.
