my blower went out!

Default my blower went out!

yesterday morning the blower for my a/c was working just fine. and then about an hour later i jump in my truck and the blower is completely dead. the dealer had just put a new blower in my truck when i baught it. the previous one was either on high or and low. anyone have any ideas why my blower went out? i just had a new one put in back in may.

Check your blower motor resistor. I would bet that that is where your issue is, assuming you checked fuses.

If you have ONLY the highest speed on the fan then your resistor is gone. Been there....done that a couple of times.

i was thinking something along those lines. but my unit is in the field now, i'm on midnights, so i haven't had the opportunity to check it out. of course this sort of thing has to happen on day 1 of 3 weeks in the field. hopefully i can get it taken care of asap.

its the blower resistor, i had to have it replaced in my dakota...

where is the resister? resisters are pretty chea[ aren't they?

12 bucks at the stealer, and its under the glove bock on the passenger side, push the seat all the way back and recline it, then lay on your back w/ your head under the glove box and you should see the wire staring back at you

hopefully you have a sliding window and can throw your legs through there, not that I have had to do that
