Whats up everybody, I just bought a '03 4.7 auto reg cab 4x2. I want to know what rear end it has on it...
I am planning on building it into a prerunner and I want upgrade but only if I need to...any ideas?
Also I am looking for clear turn signal lenses but am having no luck...

welcome to the board... look in your glove box and look at the write up ticket, or you can jack up the rear end and spin the driveshaft and count how many times the tire rotates or to be really lazy about it, go to a dealership with your vin # and have them print out your build sheet... your either going to have 3.55, 3.92, 4.10, or 4.55 gears... i would go with the 2nd or 3rd choice, most likely the second

 

For the clear corners, look on ebay. They have a ton of them

For the rear end you either have the 8.25 or 9.25 with either 3.55 or 3.92 gears.

just take a look at the housing and count the number of bolts 10 is the 8.25 junk rear and 12 is the 9.25 great rear. if you put to much power on the 10 bolt they dont hold together that well. as far as ratio goes 3.55 or 3.92 thats all factory sent out

 

Welcome to the site. Where are you located? Seeing that you want to go pre-runner, I would assume you are in the southern California/Southwest. I am in Orange County, CA and have a pre-runner setup on my Dak.

 

welcome to the site. i would suggest going to www.stylintrucks.com for the clear turn signals. thats where i got mine. if your really looking to dress up the front of your truck i would also suggest of going with the one piece headlamp assembly. i personallydont have them but the pics i haveseen look great.

VirusedIam from SoCal and for the mostpart any one out side of the state (I thinkNoCal should be another state) thinks having a pre runner is dumb but why else have a v8 in a small truck? so you can bomb down a dirt road!!! Right?I thinkthe dakotashould look great as a pre runner! Ibetter start collecting parts now cause I'm gonna break a ton!
